Public Notice – Updated Tuesday, December 30
On Monday, December 29, the Board of Directors of Nap Ford Community School, Inc., d/b/a Legends Academy, held a public virtual meeting to discuss the school’s future. Following that meeting, the Board voted to close Legends Academy, effective immediately, due to ongoing and unsustainable financial and operational challenges.
As a result of this decision:
- The final day of instruction for students was Friday, December 19.
- All school operations will cease on December 31.

Legends Academy is a Kindergarten through 8th grade Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) focused school located on the Hope Center West Campus in the Washington Shores community of Orlando, Florida.
